Braeside Garden was established over a 20 year period on a hillside outside Havelock at the head of the Pelorus Sound in the Marlborough Sounds. It surrounds a homestead built in 1905 and is divided by a natural stream which meanders through the three acres or so of native and exotic plantings.
The garden is open to visitors all year round, spring being the most colourful with Rhododendrons, Azaleas and many of the alpine and bog garden plants performing well at this time.
